1. All contestants must be a permanent resident of Washington County and be currently
enrolled in one of the schools in the County or home schooled in Washington County.
The contestant must be in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade.
2. The Jr. Miss will receive a crown & sash. The Jr. Mr. will receive a belt and belt buckle.
3. The entry fee of $15.00 must accompany the entry form due no later than September 2,
2025. Fee
will not be refunded for “no show”. Contestant/Parent Consent Release form must be
signed and submitted with entry.
4. Candid photos should be turned in with the entry form.
5. The contest consists of individual interviews with a panel of judges, where contestants
will be judged on public speaking skills, personality, community involvement, and best
western.
Interview date:
Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at 1 p.m. Parents are permitted to stay on the premises but will not be allowed in the interview
room. During the interview portion, contestants will be signing “Thank You Cards” to
sponsors, while they wait.
6. Contestants are strongly encouraged to ride in the Fair Parade on Saturday, Sept. 13th
at 10:30 am (additional information to come on float #). Parade participation does not
count toward scoring. Please dress for Texas heat, but be presentable.
7. The contestants will introduce themselves to the audience, followed by the crowning of
Jr. Mr. and Miss on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.

10. The winners must appear on behalf of the fair as requested.
