The Bucket Calf Program at the Washington County Fair was started to give youth the opportunity to learn about the basic care and responsibility of raising and caring for livestock. This program is open to youth (ages 4 - 8) in Washington County. Participants are matched with a mentor and participate in project meetings and a Progress Show.

Interested in becoming a mentor for the Bucket Calf Program? Applications are open now. Mentors must be in the 7th - 12th grade, and an active member of 4-H or FFA in Washington County. Applications are due on March 15, 2024.
